4-Ton Chain Grate Shipped to Heilongjiang
We shipped a 4-ton chain grate from our partner factory to Heilongjiang.
Chain grates can support boilers rated from 1 to 160 t/h and accommodate a broad range of fuels, including waste and biomass. This chain-belt grate design is suitable for boilers with evaporation capacities from 1 to 30 t/h. It can burn bituminous coal, lignite, and peat, and can also serve as combustion equipment for biomass fuels made from bagasse, wood, rice husks, and similar materials.
The grate surface is formed by the chain belt itself. Sprockets drive the chains, moving the grate bars forward slowly. The grate bars are generally made of cast iron and assembled with ventilation gaps between adjacent bars. Separate air chambers beneath the grate allow airflow adjustment and direct combustion air through these gaps into the fuel bed.
Coal falls evenly from the hopper at the front of the grate. A vertically adjustable coal gate controls fuel-bed thickness. As the grate moves backward, the coal passes through ignition, combustion, and burnout stages. Ash and slag are then removed manually or mechanically.
Some systems use a spreader stoker instead of a coal hopper. The spreader throws coal onto the rear section while the grate moves forward. A gear transmission adjusts grate speed according to coal type and boiler load.
