▌Biomass Hopper Structure and Principle The lock feeder mainly consists of a storage hopper, impeller, blades, rotating shaft and discharge outlet. When the transmission mechanism drives the impeller to rotate, the lump material falling from the upper hopper enters the impeller compartments through the feed opening and, as the impeller rotates, is conveyed to the discharge outlet. Throughout the process, feeding and discharging are continuous and metered. Because the fit between the impeller and the housing is relatively tight and provides a certain degree of airtightness, a certain pressure can be maintained inside the boiler furnace during discharge.
