Common Gray Cast Iron Grate Bar Materials

Common grades: HT200, HT250

Core performance:

Maximum long-term service temperature: ≤480–520°C; above 600°C, oxidation, growth deformation, and cracking occur very easily;
Advantages: excellent castability, lowest cost, easy machinability, vibration damping and wear resistance, suitable for simple thin-section grate structures;
Disadvantages: extremely poor heat resistance, poor thermal shock resistance, high brittleness, poor sulfur corrosion resistance, significant strength degradation at high temperatures, short service life.

Applicable scenarios:

Small atmospheric coal-fired hot water boilers, residential heating small boilers, fixed hand-fired grates;
Low furnace temperature, small load fluctuations, fuel is high-quality anthracite, low-ash low-sulfur coal;
Budget-limited, short-term transitional use scenarios; service life is generally 3–6 months.
