Preventing Slagging and Clogging When Burning Industrial Solid Wastes in Waste Incinerators

Extended residence time
Enlarge the volume of the secondary combustion chamber to ensure a flue gas residence time of ≥2 seconds, so that unburned particles are fully oxidized and decomposed, reducing the risk of carbon deposition.
Raw material pretreatment and operation management
Solid waste pretreatment
Crush and compact light, high-volatile solid wastes and control the particle size entering the furnace within the range of 50-150 mm, reducing the risk of concentrated local calorific value.
Application of additives
Use ultrasonic ash-cleaning equipment every 200 hours of operation to clean ash accumulated in the furnace, use high-pressure water jets to remove already-caked zones at designated points, and repair damaged parts of the refractory layer.
Through the above comprehensive measures, the coking rate of industrial solid waste incinerators can be reduced by 60%-80%, while extending the service life of refractory materials to more than 5 years.
