Chain Grate Product Introduction

The grate surface of the chain grate is the chain belt itself. The sprocket drives the chain, making the grate bars advance slowly. Grate bars are usually made of cast iron. After assembly, necessary ventilation gaps are maintained between bars, and often adjustable partitioned ventilation chambers are set under the grate to allow air to enter the fuel layer for combustion through the gaps. Coal falls evenly on the grate from the coal hopper at the front of the grate. The thickness of the coal layer is adjusted by a coal gate moving up and down. As the grate moves backward, coal goes from ignition, combustion, until completely burned out. The ash and slag after burning is discharged by manual or mechanical methods. There are also those that do not use a coal hopper to feed coal but use a coal thrower to throw coal at the rear of the grate and the grate moves forward. The speed of the grate is adjusted by a gear transmission depending on the type of coal and boiler load.
